CLIENT: Lauders Group
ADDRESS: 100 Minton Street, Beveridge
MUNICIPALITY: Mitchell Shire Council
YEAR: 2017 – On going
Const. cost: $1.8 m (Stage 1) – $6.1 m (Stage 4)
LD Eng worked with Lauders through a due diligence process for serviceability of the development at 100 Minton street in Beveridge Township. The permit was issued in 2018 and construction on stages 1 & 4 commenced at the start of 2020. Stages 2, 3, 5 & 6 are progressing with design and due to commence construction in 2021.
The site is located within the township of Beveridge and not under a PSP or current MW drainage Scheme. The planning process involved negotiation with local authorities and VicRoads over upgrading existing gravel roads to an urban standard, water sensitive treatment measures, drainage discharge from the site and serviceability of water and sewer.
What we did
LD Eng had extensive negotiations with the Yarra Valley Water to provide supply of services to the property, including 1.2kms of external watermain brought from Beveridge town centre. With sewer outfall only available in mid-2021, LD Eng was successful in arranging eduction on-site via Aquatec supplied storage vessels. Mitchell Shire Council was consulted by the Water team for the construction of outfall drainage assets and retarding basins to allow legalised discharge from the property with minimal impact to the surrounding environment.
LD Eng are working closely with Montdami Constructions to ensure completion dates are achieved as per the Client’s expectations. Stage 1 and 4 are expecting completion by late 2020, with further stages to kick off in 2021.
