Project Description
Carrum Downs Recreation Reserve is a large reserve with football ground, cricket pitch and home of several local sporting clubs. The synthetic sports field for Football, Soccer and Cricket for part of the $7.5 million revamp.

What we did
LDEng was engaged by Synthetic Turf Supplier Tuff Turf Pty to complete the design and documentation for the Synthetic Pitch. Design also included a start of the art synthetic cricket wicket in accordance with AFL and CA’s newest guidelines. The Synthetic oval was part of the AFL and CA Pilot project. AFL and CA have defined new standards to improve the cricket wicket covers that are used to cover cricket wickets in the football season. By making the cricket wicket cover a slightly different colour to the outfield, the cover will be visible to the players therefore reduce the risks associated with the transition.
